Andrea Derani - Visual Artist

Andrea Derani is a visual artist born in thecountryside of São Paulo, where she began Paulo, where she began her education in the arts before working as an environmental lawyer.

Her recent practice focuses on experimentation withporcelain, handmade papers,  natural fibers, urushi, and gold, developing works through manual processes of cutting, assembling, and direct intervention in matter.

Her production moves between surface and volume, articulating distinct technical procedures in compositions that explore relations of tension, continuity, and formal reorganization.

She lives and works in São Paulo.
